Presentation:  Pikes Peak Summit Project a Fire Protection Case Study

The Pikes Peak Summit Complex replacement project comes with many unique challenges, not the least of which is the code requirement for a sprinkler system in a location with virtually no water and an egress system leading to exterior environments of 20 below zero and 25 mph average sustained winds.  Spend an hour with us as we dive into a case study of this exciting project and how the life safety challenges were addressed via a combination of performance and prescriptive solutions.

Guest Presenter:  Brian Calhoun, AIA

Brian Calhoun is a Principal at RTA Architects in Colorado Springs, CO and is serving as the project manager for the design of the Pikes Peak Summit Complex.  Brian has over 25 years' experience in the filed and has lead the design effort on over 100 projects.
