Presentation:  Smoke Control Code Requirements and Applications

Smoke Control Code Requirements and Applications is an encompassing review of the process to design and implement a Smoke Control System. 
We will explore the governing sections of code that both engineers and contractors should understand and incorporate into their design.  Design strategies for utilizing the equipment in the building for smoke conveyance as well as applications on the different definitions of Smoke Control.  Smoke Control codes are evolving, and it is being more widely accepted by Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) through-out the US as well as internationally.  Contractors will greatly benefit from this course and increase their knowledge on how their applications for Smoke Control Systems can be accomplished.

Guest Presenter: Ben Lombardo, LEED AP - H.R. Kirkland Company

Ben brings over 25 years of experience in the Construction and Life Safety industry.  He is a part of the third-generation family owned business, H.R. Kirkland.  Having studied Architecture and Construction Science with a BS in Industrial Technology, as H.R. Kirkland’s Vice President of Business and Product Development.  This includes designing product development, marketing, sales, technical support and customer service.
