Presentation: Air Sampling Detection

Description: In this presentation, we will explore Air Sampling Fire and Smoke Detection systems—a cutting-edge solution designed for early and reliable fire detection. We’ll discuss the various approvals and code requirements for air sampling including advanced detection technologies, enhanced sensitivity, and design criteria. The presentation will also cover recommended installation methods and best practices for optimizing air sampling performance. Additionally, we’ll provide an overview of general air sampling principles and conclude with a look at the diverse applications where air sampling excels, from data centers and cleanrooms to energy storage and industrial environments.

Guest Presenter:
Scot Robertson, SET

Scot Robertson is Head of Engineering and Vice-President of Safe Fire Detection. He holds a Bachelors in Material Science Engineering from North Carolina State University. Scot has more than 10 years’ experience in the Fire Detection industry, and is NICET Level 4 certified for Fire Alarm. Over his time at Safe Fire Detection, Scot has developed significant experience regarding Linear Heat Detection Cable, Air Sampling Fire and Smoke Detection, Optical Flame Detection, Water Leak Detection, and Fire System Design.
